IAP2 USA Intermountain: “Networking Breakfast with IAP2 USA Board Member Jay Vincent”

  • February 13, 2019
  • 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (PST)
  • Utah Valley University - Clark Building, 5th Floor, Rooms 510 & 511 815 College Drive Orem, Utah

The National Dialogue is coming to Utah! The Intermountain Chapter of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) and Utah Valley University invite you to join us for an evening of dialogue.

There are a range of issues in our communities that impact our quality of life, including affordable and student housing, transit, bike lanes, air quality, public land use and many others. These issues are often complicated. We’ll explore how and why the public should be engaged in highly technical and complex projects that impact us, specifically asking:

  • Should you, the public, be involved and why?
  • How can decision makers integrate requirements and meaningful public participation?
  • Which tools and techniques can be used and why are they effective?

To explore these questions we’ll gather in small groups for a facilitated discussion. Students and the public are encouraged to attend and there is no background knowledge or experience necessary to participate.

This is a free event and registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
