Join us for a special post-conference session at the Levine Museum of the New South. In this session, we’ll bring together local knowledge with public participation knowledge to reflect on the museum’s role in the aftermath of a police-involved shooting and on new unknowns to consider in the museum’s work to guide next steps to foster community resiliency. The goal of this session is to transfer information from the museum’s experience out, across the public participation community world wide, as well as allow the IAP2 community to respectfully contribute ideas for the work the museum has done and could continue to do to foster community resiliency.

This is a first-of-a-kind partnership for IAP2USA with a local organization in a conference city, beginning a new tradition that we contribute locally in the host city of our conference. By doing so, we seek to reinforce our own organizational culture to collaborate, innovate and share techniques and ideas that could help all of us answer how we might help communities address entrenched historic injustices, as well as recover from new impacts whether from climate change or other cultural, technological, and economic shifts.
