IAP2 Foundations in Public Participation Certificate Training April 25-29, 2022

Whether you are new to the public participation process or an advanced practitioner, this training will provide you with the structure, techniques and knowledge you need to be a successful practitioner. This course gives you the opportunity to delve into your own challenges as you learn and review the essential elements of effective public participation planning.

This year, we are offering the training in person over five days. Training will be led by licensed trainer, Penny Mabie. Participants will be required to show proof of vaccination in order to participate.

The course is two parts: Planning for Effective Public Participation (3 days: April 25-27, 8:30-4:30pm) and Techniques for Effective Public Participation (2 days: April 28-29, 8:30-4:30pm). Participants can register for:

  1. Full Foundations Course, both Planning and Techniques (5 days)
  2. Only the Planning Course
  3. Only the Techniques Course (note: Planning is a pre-requisite for the Techniques Course.)
