The City of Boulder has a rare and exciting opportunity for a professional in both community engagement and city planning. The successful candidate will join an award-winning Communication and Engagement team that prioritizes meaningful, inclusive and transparent public participation, communication that demystifies local government, and the cultivation of trusting relationships with community. This senior-level position will support engagement planning and implementation for the city’s Planning & Development Services Department. Applicants should have a basic understanding of urban planning principles and best practices, as well as a desire to foster constructive conversations around the values and goals articulated in the community’s Comprehensive Plan, innovative design, the effective use of public space and the rights and responsibilities of private developers.
